Harry and Lloyd are best friends and roommates with one thing in common: They’re a little dumb. Did I say a little? I meant very. These guys can barely hold jobs or keep their apartment clean.

Working as a limo driver, Lloyd drives the beautiful Mary Swanson to the airport and instantly falls head over heals for her. After she’s gone, Lloyd realizes she left a mysterious briefcase behind. He tries to return the case and even board her flight but it is too late. Using his brain for a moment, Lloyd comes up with an even better idea: personally delivering the case to its rightful owner. In Aspen.

After running the idea across Harry, the intellectually-challenged duo hit the road. Briefcase in tow, Harry and Lloyd travel in style in the Poochmobile, a van that looks like a sheepdog in attempts to promote Harry’s failing dog grooming business. Singing their own version of “Mocking Bird” and picking up some interesting hitchhikers on the way, the van runs out of gas when Lloyd takes a wrong turn to Nebraska. Furious, Harry begins walking home, and is stopped by Lloyd who traded the van for a beat-up scooter, one of the smarter decisions he makes.

In Aspen, Mary and Harry become friends, which provokes Lloyd’s jealousy. What neither of them realizes is that her intentions are strictly platonic, and she is actually married. They also have no idea that Mary’s briefcase was intended to be left behind, and is full of ransom money in exchange for her kidnapped husband.

Check out Harry and Lloyd when they eat atomic peppers at Dante’s Inferno in Dumb and Dumber. But try not to sneak it on a thug’s burger.
