Apple pie is the most “American” home-cooked food of all. This is precisely why it inspired the title of the first teen movie and the following others. “American pie” is the story of 4 boys attending their last year of high school. Pretty average but incredibly funny!

They face, day after day, the unstoppable resistance and confrontation with girls. Virginity is obviously the most feared of all their issues, just like the rest of the teen population of the world. Love, sex, friendship, family, and the biggest question mark of all: the future, peeking from just around the corner.

Apple pie accompanies our protagonists throughout the entire movie. It plays the role of a delicate and delicious dessert with a half-full glass of milk on the side, but also the role of a comforting friend and outrageous experiment in difficult and irrational times. You know what I mean, right?
